Put together my first HTML doc last night

Well I forced myself to spend about an hour to learn some more basic html. It wasn’t much but hey “Rome” wasn’t built in a day now was it? I would like to show it to you, but realized that the images are only on my computer, and it wouldn’t look very cool. I guess I’ll have to learn how to FTP that file, and then you could see it. Is that right? I hope so.

Anyways, I got 22 days left on my Camtasia trial. I’m already sold on this thing, and will probably buy it even though it does carry a 299.00 price tag. I’ll easily make a few thousand dollars with that software, so it’s really a no brainer there. I am hoping to get a bit better at using Camtasia and get some sweet videos up for my Poker Calculators and Poker Trackers-Poker Stalkers..

Well, it’s about 2 in the afternoon, and I’ve already put in 3 hours to learning stuff today. Another 10 or 12 hours and I think I’ll be able to call it a day. I’m gonna be a techie one day, I swear.

Peace
Jason

  1. Just checking out your blog through a link on Lynn’s site. HTML isn’t hard once you get the hang of it, but I still make mistakes on occasion. 🙂 I got a book when I was learning called HTML in an Instant. Very handy.

So far your site looks great. I didn’t have the patience to set up Word Press, so I did one at blogger.com and then pulled the posts to my site with a javascript. More power to you for figuring this thing out, even if you did have help. 😉

  2. Thanks for the kind words there Jennifer. Yeah, I’m gonna learn this html thing soon enough. I plan on downloading themes for this site as well. I definitely don’t want the site to be a blog site.

I too use blogger.com and it works great, and is super easy. I am experimenting with this word press because I feel it might offer some options not available with a typical site. Hopefully I get some time to work on it, but and boggled down with a couple of other sites right now.

    Peace
