NONSTOP WEBBER ALL WEEK

By Jason Moffatt

Ok, it’s time to take a break from all this marketing blabber. It’s officially Webber Week. For 7 Days you’ll get a inside peek into the intimate relationship between me and my main man Webber,
(sometimes referred to as Doosky too… or Webber Doosky).

Jason Moffatt's dog Webber

Webber is a mix of Sharpei and Sheppard. There’s got to be some other mix in there as well, but i’m not entirely sure. He was named after an ex teacher of mine Frank Webber. I sure miss Frank alot. Hopefully you are ok my dear friend.

It all started about 3 years ago when I departed the local grocery store. Some chubby kid was sitting next to a cardboard box full of puppies. My eyes instantly locked onto Webber. From the very second I looked at the dog I knew he was the dog for me. Under no circumstances was I looking for a dog. I was way to irresponsible to have a dog. Not to mention I change my mind every 20 minutes.

For nearly an hour I paced back and forth outside of the grocery store, pondering whether or not I could feasibly have a dog. Keep in mind, I lived in the tiny A-Frame shack at the time and didn’t even have a consistent job. Could I afford dog food? Could I afford vet bills if needed? I kept pacing, trying to really figure out whether or not I could take care of a dog.

Realizing that it wasn’t just a simple decision that I could recant whenever I liked, I really took time to decide if I was commited to taking care of this dog for years to come. After about an hour, it was evidently clear that I could not leave the parking lot without having Webber. I had
already named him, bonded with him, and was in love with the guy.

I’m so thankful I visited Thriftway that day.

So, during this week, I’ll be bringing you some awesome J-Mo and WEbber stories and videos.

CHOW!

  1. Hey Jason,

Webber week is an awesome idea!

Not to be all soppy but dogs bring so much to people’s live’s and we don’t always appreciate them as much as we should.

Whenever I need a laugh all I have to do is look at my dog Mack and I crack up,

To paraphrase a particular dog food commercial in Australia
    “im for dogs”

    Pats for Webber
    Casey

  2. He’s a great looking dog. Very cool idea, and I’m looking forward to more. On a marketing standpoint, why don’t you get people to send in photos of their best friend, and you can put up a rogues gallery of dog snaps. Could get some traffic coming in, and be good for a laugh too.
