Mike Filsaime’s Employee’s EXPOSED On Film! and some 7 Figure Secrets

Wow, Mike’s employees sure are a fun and crazy crew.  And we caught em on FILM!  See the video below… and make sure to grab your copy of the 7 Figure Secrets at… https://jasonmoffatt.com/mike/

There has been quite a bit of controversy and debate going on about this offer around the marketing world. In fact, there is some complaining going on right now in the comments of this blog. I don’t edit my comments, and allow people to voice their feelings.

However, on this particular promo, I think Mike did a outstanding job of alerting people of the monthly charges, and didn’t try to be slick about anything. Yet, people still complain. And guess what? I’m pretty confident many of these folks would complain no matter what the offer is.

I don’t mean to be a hard ass, but people need to accept some damn responsibility and pay attention to what they are ordering. And in this case, it’s dead simple to see what is going on. And if for any reason you don’t want to continue your membership, all you have to do is call the phone number they provide in plain site on their website.

So kudo’s Mike on being a bad ass salesman, aggressive, and in my mind completely ethical. Anyone who has a problem with these continuity issues, then don’t participate. Personally, I think it’s good business and the offer on the Seven Figure Secrets is beyond solid.

Once again, here’s my link… (grab a copy today)

Take care, and enjoy 🙂

PS: I was watching the 7 Figure Code DVD’s today and picked up just one simple idea that will take me about 15 minutes to implement and I’m confident it will stick a few extra thousand bucks in my pocket this year. Mike is one smart cookie!

  1. I am sorry but I have seriously decided that Mike Filsaime is crap.

I will never trust anyone that tries to give something away for free and then in the fine print it is a membership deal.

Seriously where have ethics gone to? Ethics command trust. If he wants to have a membership site then he should be honest enough to say it up front.

Yes it is a trick and yes it is unethical.

I have been caught twice by this. As soon as it happens I organize a refund and I immediately unsubscribe from their list. They are no longer worth listening to.

We are only individuals and if we don’t trust someone then we should automatically unsubscribe from them. It is the ‘Power of one’!

Sorry but not interested in ‘Murky Mike’. The waters are way too Murky.

  2. Denise – Mike made it pretty clear from the start that you would be signed up to his membership newsletter. It wasn’t exactly fine print – it was in the sub head!

I think it’s just good marketing. I’ll see what the newsletter is like before I worry about canceling. It might be gold dust.

    Matt

  3. Hey,

The record club model has been around for 50 years.

But these 7 records (or books) for $1 and blah, blah, blah.

I personally know MIke and that he would NEVER ever want to deceive or mislead customers. In fact, I read the copy and felt he went way overboard in describing multiple times the nature of the offer.

Mike is a straight shooter and an honest man.

    Marlon Sanders

  4. I also think Mike Filsaime is a very upstanding and honest person. Hell, Frank Kern’s forced continuity was $300 bucks per month and I never heard a thing about that. You can always cancel and if it’s got great content, $29 gets spent on 1/2 a crappy video game for my 8 year old (I know – bad mom).

    I’m ordering!
    elizabeth

  5. Yeah Michael,

I’m pretty confident there are a handful of people out there that will say negative things no matter what Mike does.

He could do a promo that was 100% charity and he’d still get flamed.

Ah, the price of being a guru.

And even worse, the price of be a jealous marketer who has nothing better to do then to try and rip down others all day. Must be lovely times over on PlanetDenise. I didn’t know they had the internet all the way over there.

    J-Mo

  6. I have been caught twice by this.

No wonder you believe Mike is unethical. Sorry to read that too.

Oh well, people believe whatever they find conveniently easier to believe…

    David

    response by Jason:

First of all David, I don’t think Mike is unethical at all.  In fact, I think he’s a stand up dude.

Secondly, you say this is the 2nd time you have been caught.  Caught by what?  Your inability to read, or follow simple instructions?  I’m confused.

  7. Yes what mike filsaime is, is a great marketing guy.

He is no guru, he has pulled some stuff over the years…but this guy gotta pay the bills right.

It is one thing to release a free product, but it is another thing to cause a controversy like this…. remember when they said bad publicity is good too….well mike must be loving that for sure.

by the way it is a good offer but im sure he could use a better continuity model????

  8. I saw the membership offer, plain as can be.

It’s like the book clubs that I’ve joined. Free stuff with membership. That is why it’s free.

On the other hand, some customers really don’t like that kind of offer.

I think the best approach is like Jay Abraham does it, he says in the headline that he is offering you an ethical bribe to join blah blah blah.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Mark

  9. Mike’s promotion was the most transparent continuity program I’ve seen. I thought it was completely professional. He was completely open and honest about the offer.

Nothing was hidden. Everything was explained. It was a very fair offer.

I’m looking forward to receiving the package and then reviewing his monthly magazine. If for any reason I don’t find value, it’s simply a phone call to opt-out.

  10. Well guys and gals,
I am sorry but this is marketing after all is it not? at least it was the last time I checked it was!! I bought it and am not afraid to admit up to it either.

J-Mo glad you got your video working.

    Hugh

  11. I always thought the word free meant free. Mike apparently thinks it means you have to sign up to something else so under any interpretation of the word this is not a free offer.
If his subscription is good then he should promote that and sell it. Word would soon get round.
This is just underhand secondhand car sales type tactics and this is another ‘guru’ whose list I will no longer be on.
I was under the misapprehension that there were still some ethics in this IM business but now I am beginning to wonder.

  12. YA gotta love so called marketers, that go almost catatonic over the word FREE then forget to read the rest of the offer.
Listen up guys/gals … if you’re too dumb to actually read what you are signing up to then more than likely you aint got the smarts to actually become marketers.
All it cost you to learn that you aren’t cut out for it was 8 crappy bucks for postage and a phone call to cancel a subscription. Thats cheap therapy in my world.
But if you care to pay more for someone to tell you you’re too dumb to play in the game, well…. Have I got a recurring therapy product for YOU !
Simply visit nexttimeishouldreadwhatIampayingfor.com and sign up. Its FREE to sign up but I will bill you monthly to submit your credit card info

  13. Hey J-Mo,

I don’t think people are so upset with the fact that Mike is pushing a continuity program as much as the way it is presented. Anyone who is more than one or two marketers lists see offers all the time for membership programs! It is nothing out of the ordinary. But what Mike has done though is say Hey everbody, I want to give you all this great stuff for FREE and all you have to do is pay S&H. Oh, and by the way in order to get it you HAVE to sign up to my new print magazine where I am going to give all this great content every month for a fee.
If he had said Hey everbody I am starting this great monthly print magazine where I will provide you with all sorts of great tips, tricks and info to help you become a successful marketer for just $xx.xx a month and just for giving it a try I am going to give you the first issue for free and include all of this other great stuff for free as well just to show you how great the information I am going to be providing you with every month is then I don’t think any of these discussions would be going on as it would be perfectly clear as to what was actually being promoted. I have no problem with memberships if I feel they will help me in some way to become a better marketer and was able to see exactly what was going on with Mike’s promotion, but a lot of people who are just starting out trying to earn money online would not be as savvy as someone who has been around and involved in the marketing scene for awhile would be. And I feel campaigns promoted in this backward manner tend to take advantage of this fact. Just my two cents worth.

    Paul

  14. Ok, I signed up, got the stuff, and think it’s fair. I can also see how it can be a little underhanded. After all, I went to the site first time, and thought it was free (was surprised by $8-that’s not free) but ok, he covers his shipping and his printing costs probably. Hmmm. Then I have to get into his monthly subscription, which I will probably forget about and be charged-I hate that, there’s so much crap that it’s easy to lose track of it.

Jeez, there were about 8 upsell, and one time offers. Now that was annoying. Ok, I expect one or two, but that was about to the point of ridiculous.

He’s a great marketer, but wow, tone it down! Makes me think he’s more interested in having an excuse to pitch me endless products then to give something of value and let me make a decision…

And he really should have said it was a membership with free bonuses (being honest really doesn’t hurt with the trust…just talking from experience of this)

Thanks for reminding me to cancel the subscription before I forget!

  15. That being said, you are forewarned and responsible for what you buy and get and subscribe to. Just like the CD and book clubs, better keep on top of what you order, or get what you got coming! 😛

  16. I don’t think there’s anything wrong or unethical about Filsaime’s offer. Takes all of 10 seconds to figure it out, after all.

And from what I’ve heard, there’s nothing wrong with the content either. Probably a very good investment.

For myself though, I’m observing I’m much more likely to buy into a straight-up continuity program like the Reese Report or Joshua Shafran’s 2 Comma Club. You know what you’re getting and actually feel kinda proud to be paying for good stuff.

It’s a little weird actually, you get all this stuff for free upfront in an offer like Filsaime’s, and the effect is people end up being suspicious about it. There’s this side effect of ‘ok, this stuff looks good but if it is, why is he bribing me so hard to get it?’.

Maybe it would have been a good idea to mention the subscription in the lead-up as well. Interesting to see how these tactics evolve over time…

  17. Oh my freaking cheesburger.

You guys are muppets. This is not underhand. This is not devious. This is not sneaky.

This is BLATANT. Look at the order form – how many times does Mike mention it? It’s freaking written in bold headline style typeface.

This aint some size 2-px unreadable font here people.

If you can’t read then that’s your own problem.

    And puh…LEASE!

I was talking to Mike’s aff manager and he personally told me that “even if I didn’t want to receive the continuity program” (which I don’t cos it’s my Dad’s credit card) that I could signup and then just cancel straight away.

You don’t get billed for another 30 or 45 days or something.

You know what the “catch” is. Not that it’s really one at all.

Now stop crying and go do something worth while.

    – David

  18. I’m looking forward to getting the goodies in the mail.

I enjoyed the downloads I’ve had a chance to look at.

I’m looking forward to the monthly newsletter. It’s part of an ongoing education from one of the best.

  19. Thanks for the Vid JMo….I have mixed feelings about the offer.

I know the content will be good, and I fully expected to get offered a continuity program, that’s what all the free giveaways are for.

I thought it was upfront and I knew it was happening unlike others I’ve been in. I would just like to see someone do it, where they actually allow you to opt out before the order.

If it’s being promoted as an “add on” to the free gift, then let me uncheck that box so I don’t have to worry about canceling it.

I thought the upsells were a little too cheesy for me, but, I guess he knows what he’s doing. I’m not upset about it, I fully knew going in what to expect, a continuity program. I’d just like to see some marketers handle them different.

But, you gotta know, these dudes making millions are NOT going to give thousands of people something free with no strings attached. It’s just good to see more of them showing what the strings are up front instead of sneaking it in.

  20. Actually, I’m glad Mike did the offer the way he did. Being able to get all this information for the cost of shipping and handling + one phone call to cancel the monthly subscription is worth it in my opinion.

  21. I think it’s hilarious that people are getting uptight about Mike’s continuity program!

None of these things the guru’s (or anyone else) are giving away are free to produce so why on earth would they just GIVE them to you/us?

Here’s an idea….pick ONE deal like this….don’t buy a single other thing. Try it and implement what you learn right away. Once the continuity part kicks in, try that for a month. If you still get no results, call and get your refund.

Hell you’ve got Frank Kern flat out telling you to order it and then cancel! 🙂

No likey, no purchase. Easy peasy.

  22. Just saw that you and the rich jerk are doing a little work together.

Is JMofo becoming guru status? Uhh ohhh 😉

Either way I hope you make a pretty penny out of the deal.

    Your Friend,
    Dan

  23. mike filisiame…this guy is bad bad news!! i have tried contacting him for over 2 years to take an image off on his website’s that he has no legal right to have, it is stolen, and you cant find him to contact him and he wont answer emails, total fraud

  24. Does anyone know which shopping cart he’s using? I thought his marketing process was amazing, and I would like to increase my profits by emulating him.

  25. Jason,

The fact is that some people can’t or won’t read what they are buying, then blame the seller. Notice that 99% of the complainers never paid the continuity fee they are upset about, because they passed on the offer or cancelled.

You can offer a basic $20/month membership, and a few will complain when they get charged for the second month.

If I complain about my credit card company charging a $39 late fee, you’d probably say I should pay the bill on time.

If I complain about my cell phone provider charging me for extra minutes, you’d say keep better track of your time on the phone or get a plan with more minutes included.

But for some reason, when an offer is on a web page, people think they don’t need to pay any attention to the words on the page, just click the buy button, then get upset because it’s not what they assumed it would be.

Rosie, I don’t think Mike used a shopping cart for this, just his butterfly script.

  26. Mike is a very savvy marketer. He knows that he will make more money using forced continuity, than not.
He knows human nature. People see the word “free” go gaga, and wanna just get it!
Some people will forget to cancel. Mike probably even has a good idea how many.
As for the numerous upsells, again, if he didn’t have them, he wouldn’t make as much dosh.
Sure it will piss some people off, but so what?
He’s running a business, and he’s in it to make money.
Including both will make him for money, and thats a fact.
Really, is it much different to getting a 7 day free or low cost trial for something, and many people will forget to cancel in time?

    Gary

  27. Ha all the forums are buzzing
    The sales formula used caused
    alot of blogging and linkbaiting…
    Very impressed…… Always love to
learn from approches and sales copy!

  28. I think the whole process was such a great lesson in marketing….First of all i will hold judgement on receiving the information first before cancelling anything..and look at the big picture…a concise breakdown of the 7 figure code in physical form shipped to your door is worth a alot more that a first month trial of any program.

I have met mike and been to his office and met hos staff..all of them are phenominal straight forward people..and mike delivers …i think he gives great value ,especially as anaffiliate..bonuses he gives are awesome,,

  29. Hey, how about a followup to how hard it is to get out of the continuity system that Mike Filsaime set up?

I have tried. I called and got an answering machine with a laundry list of options and different company names to cancel out of, and then the voice prompts actually send you off to a website where you again are smitten with a whole lot of choices on how to opt out of the plan you subscribed to. Which one did I subscribe to? There are a whole lot of names to the programs that are offered.

Now I’m not a rocket scientist, but I was recognized early on as having an IQ that was worthy of a mensa membership, but Mike Filsaime’s “easy cancelation” access was anything but easy. And even after I canceled his program he continued to charge my card. And even after I disputed his charge, he continued to claim he was entitled to the additional funds. Well that is quite unethical, and not the way I would use to gain trust and support. As Jeff Walker might say, you have to decide whether you want to be in business or not when you consider refunding money to your customers. And this wasn’t even a refund, just a cancelation of a subscription.

    How dastardly of Mike Filsaime

    Marc Carlin

  30. While some of his products might have some value. I question his ethics. It looks like I’m going to have to charge back on his over priced newsletter that was impossible to cancel from. 15 days latter after two support requests they tell me I made a mistake. NOT I was given temp link and never a password.

So I could not log into the cancelmetoday.com site then I tried password retrieval and it did not work. The phone number leads to a voice mail system that tells you to go back to the site.

Now to show that I’m not an idiot I had tried Mike’s newsletter in the past and was not at all impressed. So I canceled without a problem. Then I got it again in the butterfly marketing launch becuase he said it was all new and improved. It seem same as last time which was just a couple months back.

This time I could not cancel. I’m guessing some how an “Error” of some kind developed during the big launch that would cause it to be more difficult to cancel for the 15,000 people that got butterfly marketing for free. The reason I say that is I told a friend to get it also she did and had the same exact problem and they try to tell you that there was no problem it’s your fault. When neither one of us had any problem the last time as she also tried his mag before.

I’m giving him one more chance I just got Launch Tree if I have any problems I’m done with Mike and will never buy from him again on anything continuity based and I will write a review of my experience of him on my new site.

Compare this to the people that really over deliver like

Frank Kern…I bought Mass Control 1.0 and was given 2.0 in physical format, his new list building class and even more bonuses FREE. There was an error and 2.0 did not get to me for some reason so I emailed and Jeryl took care of it and I have it now. BTW I also got infomillionare GOLD and have not canceled.

Jeff Walker…Same deal great products, tons of additional bonuses, good customer service that actually responds.

    Yanik Silver…
I thought I got roped into another membership not canceling. Turns our I called and actually spoke to a REAL person and what happened was I was NOT being charged and got sent a free issue by mistake and was told don’t worry.

Compare that to Mike and his staff telling you YOUR WRONG when you are clearly not. I’m not a moron I read everything and I did everything just as before and it did not work and I’m technically savvy.

And I’m not one of those Chronic Refunders either. I give everything a fair chance but sometime people don’t deliver on what’s promised or do shady things.

  31. PS: Now if I had actually been able to cancel and just forgot. That’s different story and I’d gladly take responsibility for that.

  32. Hey Denise,
Maybe you have a reading problem. Mike is very straightforward in explaining what you get and he never cheats you.So maybe you should spend some time learning to read before you buy anything else. HMMM I wouldn’t want to go car shopping with you!

  33. Seem Mike is back offering the product 2500 suckers paid $1300 for a couple of years ago, for FREE!! Boy they must all be pissed with him. lol

But free it aint. Even if you get rid of all the upsell crap, there is still a $25 shipping charge. WTF. Its a digital product, man. How yesterday is shipping? Making money on shipping is sneaky. free should = free.

  34. Hey Jason, I think you had it right the first time. Why don’t all of the gurus use “Opt In” continuity instead of “Opt Out”? Gee, it couldn’t be that most people would not opt in could it?? Many people forget to opt out, or cannot opt out due to the phone number they give you having a full mail box for days, which is what is happening to me. For the last four days I have been attempting to opt out with the phone number they gave me but every time I call, day or night, I get a full mailbox recording? Could it be an oversight? Maybe. But with all the folks Mike’s got working there, someone must be slipping big time. Mike is definitely a major player on the Internet. I would find it extremely petty for someone in his position to stoop to such tactics. I do know that an opt in prompt wouldn’t make him as much money as the opt out prompt. Good business?? You decide.
