brendon burchard, experts academy

I’m going to go against the grain of many marketers today and encourage you to not become the expert unless your qualifications really justify it.

Brendon Burchard’s Experts Academy closes today. This is NOT for everyone. However, if you feel you truly are a expert in your field then you’d be nearly crazy to not take Brendon up on this offer. He is truly amazing and can take your business to incredibly new levels.

Click here to see what Brendon’s Experts Academy is all about.

I honestly feel that Brendon’s training may be the best out there right now. However, I really don’t think it is for everyone. I truly don’t. Some people are just not quite ready yet, and that’s fine. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

However, if you feel you do have expertise in your field then this training is a must have if you are serious about your biz.

Remember, today is the last day. Grab your slot in Experts Academy by clicking here.

  1. Great stance on this topic Jason. I’m with you on it 100%!

Wow! This is off topic but you really look better now that you have stopped drinking. I can really see a big difference in your face. Don’t take that the wrong way or anything… LOL!

    Take care,

    Jay

  2. Jason,,Thats why i follow You,,your alot like me,,NO BS!!!,,I have to learn this,,because unfortunatly theres not alot of welders marketers out there,,Plus there so many forums,,,that any question you ask ,newbie,to 35 years in the buisness,,Some one will answer! And it will be the correct one! Thanks as allways,Jack

  3. Hm expert yeah the old definition is “a drip is a spurt under pressure and a ex is a fas been.It is how i feel about a lot of the stuff on the INTERNET.I am an expert in 3 fields Selling,MAKING CHEMICAL PRODUCTS AND THEOLOGY.Like the old saying goes which applies to a lot of things I have invested in on THE NET “YESTERDAY I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO SPELL THE WORD “EXPERT” TODAY I ARE ONE.

  4. Hi Jason,
I totally agree, it is wrong that people dupe good hard working folk out of their hard earned. good message I hope people take it on board. Also lookin good dude.

  5. Jason,

I cannot sufficiently express my joy at the stance you have taken on this!
Everyone needs to hear truth, instead of the usual fabrications. Thank you for being honest.

  6. S’funny isn’t it…you can’t put “expertise” in a wheelbarrow…so – it’s not a THING…

…I think the measurement of our expertise is a simple 2-step:

it’s in the desired results you help facilitate in yourself and your clients.

I know plenty of so called “qualified experts” who are god-awful at transferring their knowledge —

—thanks Jase..caused me to pause and think.

Good one dude..have a great Easter weekend (it’s easter in the UK…dunno about your side of the pond 🙂

    J.

  7. JMo –

    Absolutely agree brother.

I had a lady who took me up on one of my free 30-minute consultations about a year ago. Into her “story” she told me she had an incredible traffic product that she wanted to promote and make BIG online. She went on about how it could get them tons of traffic and could help people become aware of her as the “Traffic Babe” (or something like that).

Anyway, near the end of the consult, when I asked her to tell me the one thing I could do to help her… yep, wait for it… she actually told me “Lee, if you can help me get TRAFFIC to my website I would be eternally grateful”.

    True story.

Look, if you buy Private Label stuff on a topic you know little to nothing about, it’s OK to be a publisher and sell your stuff, but don’t claim to be an expert on traffic when you can’t even get enough traffic to your website to sell your traffic eBook. K? K.

    Rock on,
    Lee Collins

    1. JMo … you da man. Thanks for telling it like it is and keeping it real.

Lee … long time not speak my friend — actually emailed you earlier today (funny timing).

      btw … my comment:

There’s another step to it …

Don’t try to BE an expert in something that isn’t monetizable. You’ll be popular — but poor. 🙂

Unless of course you’re just doing it for fun.

      Cheers,
      JP
      aka Mr Monetizer 🙂

  8. Jason, right on – so glad you just put it out in the open, I think a lot of people need to hear that. “Expert” is not just a label you put on, you have to be able to support it.

Love Lee’s story….had something similar happened as well….makes you just shake your head..lol…

  9. Excellent post Jason

It’s good to see marketers like you keeping it real because it is a reflection of your character and integreity which goes a long way with me and probably many others. Especially in IM where everyone is trying to fill you up with over hyped promises and then cross sell, down sell and upsell you on products that end up being complete junk.

The term expert gets thrown around a lot and I tihnk it is bad that most marketers encourage newbies to join the IM niche and sell products without having made any money first it is like the blind leading the blind and that should not be happening because it will not create any win-win situation for both parites.

  10. Jason,

I could not agree with you more, excellent message here about fake experts. Very hard for newbies in particular to discern who is real from the fakes.

    Thanks,
    John

On a side note, looks like you and Kern are going to the same stylist. The long flowing hair with blond highlights club.. 😉

  11. Jason
    Great advice…straight to the point.
Your “Energy and Vitality”come booming over the web…
It MUST be something your eating, or NOT eating, or its all the good ions in the air around the ocean?
Whatever it is…keep it up Jason. You look and act like you feel like a million bucks…
    Regards,
    Valerie Mosso.

  12. My thought is that if you are a true expert at something, it really doesn’t have to be advertised. In order to become an expert you must converse with certain people who are already important in your chosen field. Once you have reached a level of expertise that is worthy of being shared, those important people that you have already been conversing with will likely be telling other people of importance about you. This reiterates a few good lessons:
    * It’s all about who you hang with
    * be true to yourself
    * do what you love and love what you do

  13. Great message Jason, and I will bet you $5 that some noob on your list who just bought the latest hot thing “marketing to offline businesses” is going to try and use this to make themselves ‘experts’ on what it takes to make big money online….and they haven’t made a dime nor can they don’t have a Blogger blog, much less WordPress.

You’re looking good, think getting more fresh air and change of scenery did you more good than anything:) But I’m a tree-hugger, so I would think that right.

  14. You know what Jason? I am really glad you mentioned this. Because from my first day on the Internet, all of the sage advice I got was to do this and do that, and you will be perceived as an expert!
I always said, “But I won’t be an expert” What happens if someone asks me a question that an expert would know the answer to? What am I supposed to do? I always thought this was a scam way to be an expert! And not a very good way to begin a relationship with someone you just met. Wouldn’t it be better to simply say: Look, I am not an expert but I have a good friend who is. I will find out the answer for you from my friend. This way you can still get them an answer and remain honest with him. I just don’t know why it is so necessary to pose as an expert. I found out long ago when I was just a child, that to lie, you must work much harder than to tell the truth. I am basically a lazy guy, and to make much more work for myself, was not in my best interest!
I am glad to see that there is an opinion that falls on the other side of this issue. Even though this opinion seems to be a rare one, I am glad to know that the feelings of guilt I felt, are shared by others. Thanks for the video Jason, bob

  15. Hi Jason,

I like your advice you give in the video and your post.

You repeat it several times and it bears repeating.

Pretending to be an expert when you’re not is a disaster in the making.

    Vance

  16. Sure I agree, however there is a little marketing twist in here, quickest way to get someone to do something is to tell them not to do it. It’s brilliant, good advice and a sales pitch all in one. Nice work..

  19. Pretending to be an expert when you’re not is a cottage industry in some internet marketing circles, particularly the “easy money” crowd. How many times have seen offers for “Done for you” products that are exactly pretenses at expertise – oh, just about every day!

I’m with you on the pseudo-expert issue.
