There was once a marketer who kept a rabid mailing list of folks interested in making money online. He would often become greedy and to line his pockets he would promote any and every product launch that came before him.

“This is the greatest product ever. A definite Game Changer!” He’d say.

The subscribers on his mailing list would stop what they were doing and would run to purchase the latest and greatest product that promised to solve all their money woes. Once they purchased the product, the marketer just laughed and ran to the bank with their money. The unscrupulous marketer promoted like this over and over until his subscribers tired of him.

One day, the marketer truly did stumble across the greatest marketing device ever. It was guaranteed to help anyone who put it to use in their business. The marketer cried… “Game Changer” once again.

No one bought from the marketer ever again, yet all the other affiliates made off with handsome commissions and a ton of good will for being patient and promoting such a valuable product.

  1. Ah the wonders of consequences! If only the marketer though a bit beyond today, he could have capitalized for the long term!

Thanks for this Jason. Good to know there are others who see this as it is.

  2. There was just one?

The good news is that they don’t have to pay much to Aweber after a few mailings…!

    Take care,
    Tom

  3. I know what you mean man. It looks like Clickbank stepped up the game a little bit and pushed out some of the products with blatant lies on their sales letters, but now those guys moved to Plimus lol. I even sent out an email to my list once warning them about a specific product and 2 people emailed me back saying they bought it anyway cause they wanted to see what it was 🙁

The thing is that the shit pushers do not care, because they get thousands of new subscribers each and every day. It’s a never ending cycle.

  4. Lets face it, most of IM is based on tricking people into “impulse” buying. Making them think they need to buy now. The internet is so powerful and its ashame it can get abused like this
