1. i think he sounds like an old geezer that is WAY oversimplifying. Do i think that people read the same way they do now that they did 40 years ago? no f’ing way!! people have much less time and patience. and we know from tons of research that people read differently on the web.

   the signs are everywhere that people process information differently than they used to. people don’t watch an hour long newscast they way they used to. people watch a few mins of news here or there. and that is why tv viewing has been declining for years. and things like youtube have been gaining. and people only watch youtube for a few mins at a time. so the “fundamentals” of persuasion are actually quite different.

   I believe that impacts what strategies are successful. the days of LONG sales letters are going to be fading away into the past…Frank’s stuff is just one example of that.

   i’m new to internet marketing so i’m not really familiar with Dan Kennedy other than having seen some of his books at local bookstore. (went to google to search him). ah…his website is in super small font. guy does not seem like he understand web design in any way. (web usability has been my area of expertise for the last decade). and the second result for his name is a “page not found”

   okay this guy does not seem to “get” the internet. ..

   He’s not worried about cornering a market, he just tells you to do it a certain way and stick with the goddamn plan.

4. So one person feels Dan Kennedy is discredited because the very fundamentals of human psychology have changed in the last forty years? And other is going to blow him off because of a typo on a slide? I’m not sure about the third comment. It is kind of ambiguous. “GENIUS without being one?”

   Anyway… I’m pretty sure those reasons are all petty and/or flawed.

   Incorporating Dan Kennedy’s knowledge into my business has made many people far richer than weeding typos out of presentations ever will. And it didn’t just make people money ten or twenty years ago. That man’s wisdom is making people money today.

   Thanks for sharing the video, Jason. Doubly so because there was a Gary Halbert one I have never seen listed as a related vid.
