I Need A Really Talented Programmer? Please Read.

need a programmer, tweetdeck

I just came up with a sick, sick, sick idea. Sick in a good way. In fact, in a GREAT way. Well I’m pretty sure it’s a good idea.

Anyhow, I need to team up with someone on this project because I have no clue how to program anything. I’m the ideas guy, and money guy. I come up with the ideas that are gonna make you rich. That is, if you are a bad ass programmer.

I need a programmer who can do this kind of stuff…

1. Replicate a application like Tweetdeck. (even better would have this idea function on a website)
2. Don’t be a dickweed.
3. Is honest.
4. Likes Grateful Dead music.
5. Knows what they are doing, and can do it fast. (I want to put some $$$ in your pocket ASAP.)
6. Can devote time to finish this project now, and isn’t so high on doobies while listening to their Grateful Dead jams they are unable to function and can’t work.
7. Basically, I need a really smart bro who has the time, desire, and abilities to create a Twitter Desktop application specific to my nutty ideas. Or possibly, and it would be even better if the app just ran on a web page. That would be even better.

Wanna do it?

Got the skills?

Got Jerry?

Let’s do this.

J-Mo

PS: I know I can go to Guru.com or RentACoder.com and get someone to do the job, but I always like to fish in the ponds close to home. I’d rather work with some of my readers, or those on my mailing lists before just joining forces with some random. Hope someone is out there that can do the job.

  1. Hey Mo,have fun with it.I’ve never used Tweetdeck, nor am I a programmer.Actually,I should use the Tweetdeck App on my own music and golf blogs.

Much success in finding a good person who isn’t just interested in money, but wants to help you.But listening to extended Jams on fantastic amounts of trendy chemical amusement aid only goes so far.

Fun and amusing, but for your purposes,no.

    Peace and success Mo.

  2. Hey Jason,

I’m in college, off for the summer just chillin. I would love to work on your project whatever it is. Just using the criteria above it looks like you want a Flash/AJAX application that would run in a web browser. I know Flash, Adobe AIR, ActionScript, Javascript, MySQL, HTML, and I’m familiar with the twitter APIs. Essentially I know how get your project done. And I could def use some extra money and promise to listen to greateful dead music and not to be a dickweed.

  3. Hey Jason, been awhile my friend, i notice your in a bind with finding a programmer with the right style techs for what you want? This guy Andrew seems to know. Personally i know as well how to program one, im doing my own thing buddy sorry.

  4. Yo buddy,

You probably already know this, but incase you need to go to places like elance, etc.

Make sure to mention that the app needs to be done in AIR using either Flash, or Flex.

Some people may suggest to do it with old school ways like C# or whatever, but those will block your mac users. AIR apps will be multi-platform AND work on the web too.

Also… I dont know your idea, but using AIR you can have a central database on your server, and you can do some wild things with that. 🙂

I recently tried to find a good AIR developer, and don’t let anyone bullshit you with saying things are possible. If you seen it done, then its possible.

    Good luck man!

Ps. your programmer should be listenin’ to the great Barrington Levy. Then you have a real star on your hands! That shit is awesome!

  5. Hey J-Mo,

I’d love to take you up on this, but my specialty is more toward the desktop app side. (you can see a sample of a simple freebie app I put out at http://www.trackeranalyzer.com). But I can tell you’re jones’n more for a browser version. I’m sure you’ll find someone more in tune to that expertise than I. But if push comes to shove, or you have any other ideas in the future, give me a shout.

  6. Hey J, when are you launching that membership site you blogged about back in May? Still waiting bro… it sounded like a great way to learn how to get up to the 5k level. Not trying to be a dick, but it’s kinda lame when you make these announcements and then nothing happens. Still love your stuff and come to your blog a lot….

  7. Hey Jason,

Sorry, we have no idea how to program anything (well… does pushing buttons on the microwave count? 🙂 ) so we can’t help you out. But we found your post very amusing, and just wanted to say so. 🙂

  8. Hey Jason,

Please let me know when you have completed this project, I would much prefer tweetdeck to be a web app, that way I could use it at work 🙂

So if you come up with something I would be keen to try it out.

  11. What’s up Jason? I think I have the skills you are looking for! I have created plenty of my own web apps, I made an app that shoots my ads to over 230 blogs, 120 different social networks, and over 100 different video sites and it’s great. Let me know what you are lookng for, i am 95% sure I can do what your looking for, and I can do it quick with great quality. Mail me at mikeabovesound@yahoo.com

  12. Hey guys, and gals. I want to thank everyone that took the time to reply, email, or call the office. I’ve connected with someone and am grateful for all the responses. I’m sorry if I am unable to reply to each one of you individually (lots of emails), but I have noted everyone that has taken the time to reach out and will keep you in mind for anything that I think is a good fit.

    Thanks again,

    Jason

  14. Jason,

I am one of Frank’s customers (disciples, whatever) — if your contact would like some outside eyes to look at anything I would be glad to help, offer assistance, etc… – not looking for money but I find that good will and talent create lasting relationships.

    Let me know,
