On November 19th California voters have a big decision to make about whether or not to legalize marijuana for recreational usage. The truth is, it’s essentially available on just about every street corner since there are more medical dispensary’s than there are 7-11 stores.

However, Prop 19 would allow any citizen without a medical card to carry under a ounce for personal usage. There are lots of questions and opinions on whether or not this is a good idea. I’d like to hear your opinion and how you would likely vote and why…

  1. Absolutely. Marijuana should not criminalized in any state that resides in a free country. It’s not harmful and was only made illegal because it gave racist law enforcement a reason to throw blacks and Mexicans in jail. I’d like to think that America, as a whole, has learned the mistakes of the past. But then again, learning would require education that was worth a shit.

  2. Jason, first of all the video cracked me up.

Second, as a conservative, I think you have to support the decriminalization of pot. Kudos to the state of California for going against the federal government’s war on drugs. What people do in the privacy of their own homes is up to them, and it’s not the role of the government to help people make positive decisions. I’ve never smoked pot in my life, but I’m very excited that this is on the ballot on CA. Next stop: legalize the growth of hemp!

  3. Kinda for it, why fight just another type of drug when so many are already legal, and kinda against it, because a lot of people with addictive personalities will just be wasted 24/7 and let their life go down the drain.

  4. Ha! Munchies and forgetfulness… I forgot which side I was on too, and I just used the rest of the chocolate syrup to sweeten up my Reese Puffs. 😉

Legalize! 100% no questions asked. Period.

  5. I was expecting to see some Count Chocula 🙂 I’m for legalization… However, a select powerful few in the government, cartels, banksters, etc. make more money if it (and other drugs) are illegal. Not sure that’s a big secret, though.

  6. This article eloquently explains why California voter should vote YES on Proposition 19:

    http://www.cannabisculture.com/v2/content/2010/06/05/Why-You-Should-Vote-YES-California-Control-Tax-Cannabis-Initiative

The aforementioned article was written by a Canadian named Marc Emery, who today (ironically) is going to be formally sentenced to 5 years in a U.S. prison for his marijuana legalization activism efforts that also included selling marijuana seeds to U.S. citizens.

People should Google Marc Emery and discover what a remarkable guy this is — I didn’t even know about him until about 6 months ago.

  7. @Matthew – the biggest secret is that this is not about drugs at all, it is about hemp and the big businesses that will lose money if cannabis is legalized.

If it was about the drug, then tell me why it is illegal to grow “hemp” – which is a cannabis plant without THC. You can’t smoke hemp. However you can:

    – Eat is safely (in fact fish, birds and animals prefer it over sunflower)
    – Process it into fuel (can replace fossil fuels in less than 6 months)
    – Fastest growing bio-mass (that can be used for wood, paper, etc)
    – Can be processed into plastics

Wonder why the President’s that have ties to the oil business have a “war on drugs?” Because they want to protect their oil!

If you want more information on why this is not just a “let’s have fun thing” but a corporate/political scandal to demonize that which is free, grows from the ground, provides: medicine, food, fuel, paper, fun, and is completely safe and harmless to the body then go to: http://www.jackherer.com/ and read the free book: The Emperor Wears No Clothes

My 2cents. LOL. As my wife would say… don’t get him started. Ha.

    1. Totally agree, @Joey… I’ve been unplugged for awhile and I discuss the ties between Big Oil and Big Pharma in “Cracking the Cancer Code.” I don’t think even Hollywood could’ve written a more shocking story about how it came to be.

Big Pharma and the government wants you on their drugs only. I could go on, too. The war on drugs is a scam, period, only done to manipulate public perception! My wife is Colombian … and I have some mind-blowing stories I’ll share with you at the next IMOG meet-up!

      1. C’mon. Of course they do. It quickly becomes obvious to anyone doing his research, they ain’t your friend. Everything is just a mask for profit and gaining power with them. Yes “healthcare” how ludicrous.

What a joke. It’s more like: progressively get you sick, pretend to work towards “healing” you, while really trying to maintain some balance between your perceived “optimal health” to keep the money flowing.

Example. They are so dependent on revenue from “tobacco” it’s not even funny. And I say “tobacco” because it’s more like a GMO with the couple thousand chemicals they add to that shit. Pisses me off.

Especially since I’m hooked. They lowered the nicotine levels (2009) under the guise that “nicotine is bad for you and we want to help you stop” bs etc. Here’s an idea. Take out the shit that makes it absorb instantly.

What they’re really trying to cure is overpopulation. It’s my opinion that we are on a crash course race to the bottom, with very few people who give a shit trying to change the status quo. But what else is new.

        P.S. FOR LEGALIZATION

  8. hi!, i discovered your page various times, and I was wondering if I could recieve your newest posts to my email? do you have a subscription form/page of any sort for the site so I can put my email to it?

      1. haha, that clown was a spam message, got a bunch of similar ones of my blog. They are getting clever aren’t they?

Vid was hilarious, good call on the Crunch Berries. Don’t live in Cali myself but plan to move there in 2 years. Vote yes.

        One love,
        Oleg

  9. Good video, Music volume probably should have been brought down a bit but that’s personal. Oh, I almost forgot, oh ya, it should be legalized by all means. Sort of silly the way it is treated by our laws in this country. Almost as silly as they treat booz during prohibition.
Don’t live in CA, but I hope they decriminalize it. Will 38 million plus people you might start a trend.
Now I have a bad case of cotton mouth so I better go get myself a cold one.

  10. Yeah,we’re dealing the “weed” legalization proposition up here in Canada as well.Doesn’t matter to me if they legalize it or not.The major disributors
of “The Tumblewood Weed” will always be around, and so will hard drugs.

Have a few spliffs,a beer and some good friends. That’s all I care.
