  1. I am so sorry that I am not in a position right now to help her out with money, but might I have permission to get her story on talk radio and on Oprah? Also, may I re-post on cops and court reporters list?

Also, more important is that she needs to contact the police who will put her in touch with a shelter for victims of domestic violence. They give preferential attention to women with children.

I don’t know what state she is in, but in some sates, even if it’s his house, since they were living with him, first he’s jailed, then, for 12 months she gets to move back in with her children and he stays away.

However, the impression I have of what’s transpired thusfar, she’s likely better off in a save house provided by a domestic violence shelter.

    Kep up your good work,

    Judi Hanford

  2. I’m just getting started and in serious debt so can’t send to paypal, but I can contribute a little insight that may seem staggering to some.
Apparently there is a very strong connection between the involvement in watching pornography and the tendency to violence, -domestic or otherwise. Certain researchers , detectives and 2 christians I know have researched the tendency and found it to be the case. Many murderers and serial murderers have been known to have a great store of ponography in their accomodation. It is a huge door way to serious problems, one that is on the increase and needs to be understood as being a habit as dangerous as dynamite. …………
Best wishes to Cy and children.

  3. ATTENTION:

I wanted to let everyone reading know that Cy was able to sell more then enough of her ezine reports today to afford plane tickets and get to her new location.

Also, thanks to the generosity of so many people I’m confident she has the funds and resources to find a suitable living situation as well.

I’m updating you to let you know that thanks to everyone she is in a much better place.

If you are financially strapped yourself, please don’t worry and be rest assured that many friends have stepped to the plate to help out. A simple good thought or pray is enough in itself.

However, if you’re still wanting to help out, nobody is stopping you. I know the kids need clothes, dishes, school supplies, you name it.

But please be rest assured that she is no longer stranded with no resources thanks to so many of you.

I’ll update this on the main portion of the blog as well.

    Thanx

    Jason

  4. Delighted that Mike and Jason and so many have helped lead the way and righted Cy’s ship.

Just put a man(Rida) of nearly 53 on a plane for the city of Kuching where he was born with a left foot totally reversed to the right. And both hands deformed by the wrists pointing downward. His lifting strength is 4-5 kilos with the left hand as he is left handed and 2-3 kilos with the right hand. Five top surgeons reviewed his case and decided to first repair his right arm and hand. This was done this week very successfully. The surgeons donated their services. The hospital reduced their normal charges. This man cried and cried tears of joy and gratitude for he has had a lifelong dream of having full use of his hands. The staff of the hospital went to the 2nd and 3rd mile with Heavenly Service. Because he lives in the tropics the surgeons said his foot could be turned around by using a brace and screws over a two year period. But that this could end up with serious infections. His decision was not to operate on his foot. However he can walk at about half the pace of a normal person.

Now he is planning to court a 45 year old lady that is a widow and the mother of one who has just made her a grandmother.

When we checked him out of the hospital two days ago one of the young surgeons on duty told him: “Come back in six months and we will do the other hand” And he meant without charge.

This took place in a teaching hospital in Singapore.

Just maybe a documentary will be made of his life.

The thing that is most upsetting to him is that when Rida was 12 an operation(s) were offered but his father refused!

He has never used a computer, but is willing to learn.

Already friends have told me that when we need to do the next operation just let them know. It was interesting to have Rida looked at by a foot Dr from South Africa who was amazed at how he had obtained a high quality pair of sandals and modified one so that he could wear it. For the Dr was thinking how to construct something useful for him and than he said: “we cannot do better than the way he has engineered this sandal”

Prayers, love and blessings and a Salute to Cy and appreciation to all who are making her life more fulfilling.

    sincerely

    Jim

  5. Cy, This brings back nightmare memories for me. I was in your shoes too. You can do this!! It’s going to be hard at first, but things will smooth out for you.

Please be very careful! I will be praying for your families safety.

Jason, thank you for giving us the opportunity to help her out.

  6. Hello. I came to know about Cy’s story through Michel Fortin (I’m currently one of his students) and I must say that this story has touched me as well.

Thank you for bringing it forward and I’m honored to take action and be part of this ‘positive community’. My husband and I have PayPal’d our support.

I second Joanne here too; thanks Jason for giving us the opportunity to help her out.

  7. Being older, a father, and a grandfather of nothing but girls… I appreciate both Jason’s effort, and the other contributors efforts to help. I found out much, much, later of abuse that my daughter had received in a relationship, but fortunately she was able to hit daddy up with a “Daddy could you pleeze….” Not everyone has someone left in their life to turn to. I applaud everyones concern and contributions! May the true blessings of life abound in your lives.

  8. Hi Jason,

I first want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you are doing for Cy. I am a SURVIVOR of domestic violence. I say survivor instead of victim because “victim” makes me sound so vulnerable and Survivor makes me feel proud that I survived and got out. Cy is definately going to need tons of support by her side and it looks to me like she has it! I was brought to tears by reading all of the responses here,….. I haven’t even watched the video nor do I need to I know all about what she is going through as I have been there. Right now I am not in a financial spot to provide much but as soon as I can I will be sending her a little something to help her out. She has hope now thanks to you and everyone here that has jumped in to help her and I truly am happy for her as it will help her stay away from that thing that thinks he’s a man. Don’t get me wrong lol I don’t hate men I now have a wonderfull husband 🙂 but that thing that is beating her doesn’t deserve to be called a man. Ok at any rate my results of getting out of the situation were far from pretty,.. there was depression and eventually sever panick attacks which have now lead to post traumatic stress syndrom however I saw someone offers dv counceling on here and was willing to volunteer a few sessions? While only being a few it may help her so please urge her to follow up with that person when she is ready. Most importantly she needs to know she is not alone. Also I saw you mention she has a safe place to go but will be looking for a safe place for the kiddos? Are the kiddos in a safe spot right now? Please let her know if she would like some emotional support from somebody that’s been there she can send me a message at any time day or nite and I will try to respond as quickly as I can.
Thank you again and thanks to all of you that have jumped in to help her! It’s going to make a big difference in her success from breaking away from him.
    Sincerely,
    Shell

  9. Hi there,

lunched a WSO, and fifty percent of all the proceeds will go to her. I lived through abuse as a child and grieve for anyone who should endure it.

  10. Hi there.
This has touched my heart and soul. Though I don’t have cash to give yet, I thought I would be proactive for Cy and her kids. On my blog there is a button linked to a fund I created for Cy. The money goes straight into her account at Paypal. It’s not much but it’s the least that I can do. Here’s a link to the post for those who wanna take a look.
    http://info-selfimprove.blogspot.com/2007/08/lets-help-out.html
I hope this helps out. Cy, stay strong.

  11. My husband is on Jason’s mailing list, and forwarded this information about Cy’s situation to me, so that I might help.

I would like to offer this, if Cy will take advantage of it, and finish it: I am also a Domestic Violence counselor. Perpetrator and Victim (Recipient) Treatment Trained, in addition to my proprietary, beyond-traditional (God-given) therapy method that truly works if one does the homework and completes the program.

I specialize in helping Codependents (the pattern that is attracted to abusers), and helping them to not only get out of, but become strong enough to stay out of and never again attract such a relationship back into their lives.

Until Cy heals herself, she will continue to attract unhealthy men; and would pass the pattern down to her children. She may be stronger than most, and we give her credit for getting out, which most are not able to do by themselves.

For most abused women, they leave seven times before they are able to leave for good. That does not have to happen.

I am semi-retired, thus work only part of the time, however, I would contribute my help if Cy would stay with it to completion. I’m sure neither of us would refuse help toward the situation if others wanted to contribute funds, but I do know that God will provide what is needed.

I also work with people at a distance, either by phone or by a Meeting Room that can be very private, if I keep it (have it on $1 trial now). As a Senior Citizen, I watch that budget, so do not commit unless such services are going to be used.

Thank you, Jason, for putting this out to the Internet’s caring people. There are many such women with or without kids, who could also be helped in this way.

While I’m not a 501.c.3 I don’t think that matters, if caring persons wish to contribute for another deserving person.

Thank you all, on Cy’s behalf.

    Jannette

  15. Hi Jason,

just bought Cy’s product – what AMAZING value! She added in 6 – yes SIX – unannounced bonuses.

Anyone who has the slightest interest in ezines will, I think, find some useful gems in this bulky package.

Good Luck Cy – I think this world of support is going to help you create a better life for yourself and your children.

    Best wishes,
