I just got back from Dr. Mike Woo-Ming’s “Traffic Tactics” workshop, held here in San Diego this weekend. Dr. Mike was kind enough to invite me down to the event, and I had a blast! I learned a bunch of new stuff, and was able to help dozens of people with ideas that I knew they had not heard before. People seriously trip out when they hear my unorthodox style of marketing.
One of the things that I thought was really cool was a participant told me that I was the reason he got into internet marketing. Now I’ll admit, that felt pretty damn good. It’s very rewarding to know that you’ve had some type of positive impact on other people’s lives. That’s why I like Dr. Mike so much. He truly understands over-delivering and focuses on making sure that his attendees get the most out of their business. Of course, some will just never take action. However, the way Dr. Mike has his events set up, it enables people to work one on one with experts, and to have a intimate workshop experience instead of the usual pitch-fest.
Considering the latest shakeups in Google and the new “Universal Search”, the Traffic Tactics Workshop was the place to be this weekend. I was thoroughly impressed with all the speakers, especially SEO expert Jerry West, and the crazy genius Howie Schwartz. Howie, truly has the “Power Of The Schwartz”. He surely must have studied under the master “Yogurt“.
Then there was Keith Baxter, who generously bought thousands of dollars worth of products and gave them away for free instead of hurling cash sucking pitches at the attendees. I thought that was a very generous thing to do.
Now hanging with Jack Humphrey’s was just hilarious. That guy is one fun dude to party with! Him and Howie were in utter disbelief when they rode in my Magnum P.I. style “Spy Van”. They couldn’t believe I actually have hidden cameras buried in my tail-lights, and monitors, vcr’s, and a office in the back fully equipped with electrical hookups. It was pretty damn fun!
I can’t forget to mention Michael Koenig’s presentation on his “Traffic Geyser“. Holy crap! That service makes submitting video all across the internet a damn breeze. Not only does his product rock, but his presentation skills are riveting, and very funny. In fact, all the speakers were funny and having a good time. That’s what I love about this biz. Nobody takes it too serious. I think many of us are still in disbelief that we can make so much money online by pushing a few buttons. It truly is a wild thing, and it’s no wonder why we all have so much fun.
Then there was Tim Gorman who gave a presentation on the power of article’s for traffic. Tim only has about 3 hours a day to work on this stuff considering his prior commitments to the his service in the military. Tim proves that if you just get out there and get some stuff going, you too can make cash. I’m sure most of us can find 3 hours a day if we truly wanted to change our lives.
I’ve never personally used “Press Releases”, but after seeing Marc Harty give his presentation, I felt a bit like a fool. I’ve missed out on tons of traffic by neglecting Press Releases. If you want to get some serious insider info on how to make your press releases go wild, Marc is the go-to-guy! He’s also really groovy to hang out with.
In fact, everyone was a pleasure to be with all weekend. Hat’s off to Dr. Mike for putting together an amazing event. My pal Magic Ryan, from Xray Domination fame also decided to make a guest appearance as well. Ryan and I got together and spilled the beans to a group of about 25 people on how to seriously dominate some online product sales. We told some stuff to the public that we usually only keep behind close doors. Considering all that I picked up myself, I didn’t mind sharing some of these ninja tactics with the group. It was obvious from the jaws hitting the floor that some of the people were very happy to have Ryan and I drop the BOMB about affiliate marketing and selling your own products.
So, as you can see it was a great weekend. However, let’s give you a traffic tactic that can help out your online business right now.
Over the last year, I have gotten a lot of free traffic to this blog from something very simple. It’s nothing more then this picture of Me, and author of “The Game” Neil Strauss.
A few night ago, Alison and I went to some fancy Fondue dinner with Neil and he told me how much he hated this picture. Therefore, I decided I would make him look a bit prettier in photoshop.
Anyways, this picture has been getting me traffic for a long time because of “Google Images”. If you Google… “Neil Strauss” and then search through Google’s “images” you will find this pic.
By simply adding Neil’s name to the tags, I’ve gotten a ton of traffic from people who are searching for his name. I have to admit, it does help quite a bit that this image in on a WordPress blog too. Google seems to love these wordpress blogs, especially if they have some good content.
It may seem like a simple tactic, but I promise you that if you tag your pictures correctly in your blog posts, you can expect to see some decent traffic from organic searches if it’s a popular topic.
I’ve gotten a lot of traffic from this one simple picture of Neil and I. I have a feeling the addition of the Devil Horns may get a few more Click-Thru’s too! C-mon ladies, you know you’ve always wanted to date a man with Devil Horns!
Anyways, thanks for the weekend Dr. Mike, it was a great time!
Adios amigos!

Hi J,
Great article with a really good tip and I’m studying like crazy to make changes . I’m sure I have a few tricks I’ll share in the future:-)
Peace Out!!
Hey Jmo!
I saw Tim Gorman at the system seminar in Chicago
I’m really impressed with how successful he is with how little time he actually puts into his business.
That’s a great tip about the image tags!

Hey Jason,
WOW. Awesome recap of the “Traffic Tactics” seminar! It was great meeting you and the other power brokers at the workshop. Everyone just gave, gave, gave. I mean, where in the hell can you get a 20 min. “1 on 1” with a guru and just “talk”. I came into this event and left on with 4 or 5 ideas! Thanks dudes!
Me being new at this IM thing allowed me to open my eyes to what is going on out there. Boys and girls, you MUST get to events like this. Sell your car, sell your TV…sell your spouse (J/K LOL) but find a way in. These people WANT TO HELP. This certified A Grade NO BS here.
These guys cut YEARS off the learning curve. I mean, they even shut off the damn camera to share secrets!
Jason, thanks for sharing the workshop experience here and spending time with me.
Dennis from Chicago (GO Cubs!)
Jason,
I want to second Dennis’ assessment of your great summary of the seminar. My wife Carol Ann and I have been in Dr. Mike Woo Ming’s Master Mind group for a little over a year now. Dr. Mike and Howie Schwartz are just amazing people who have helped us so much as we struggled with the technical side of the IM biz. As you could tell from the quality of this weekends seminar, these guys are special.
It was certainly a pleasure to have met you last weekend. You and Jack Humphreys are a couple really funny guys and it is clear you guys love sharing the tricks of the trade.
Make sure you check out those trails around Discovery Lake Park. Take care of yourself.
James and Carol Ann Wiley in San Marcos.
P.S. Sorry Dennis, this week it has to be GO Padres!
I already knew this picture trick, however I am lazy, and I don’t add pictures in my posts.
This may change. One picture per post can’t hurt after all.
It seems to be a really powerful workshop.
Hi Jason – Read your tip regarding adding a picture- brilliant ! Never thought of it .
It’s amazing how simpe tweaks can get quality traffic
Thanks

Thanks for doing a great recap of the weekend.
It was a terriffic learning experience and lots of fun.
I’d be curious to hear what you are going to do with video. I’ve been using Mike’s Traffic Geyser, although not enough.
Best of everything to everyone!
