Hey friends, Couple of things today. (Nothing to sell)
1. Last week I was getting lot’s of people adding me to Facebook out of nowhere. I think I got about 700 friends show up there so far.
Let’s get something straight… I don’t like virtual beers, idiotic applications, and things inside of Facebook that generally waste my time. If you send me anything other then a normal message or something exceptionally cool, it will probably be ignored and erased. Sorry, just don’t have time for “Vampire Bites” and every other “Marketing Group” out there.
If you can avoid sending me lame apps, and bogus beer gifts then go ahead and request we be friends at…

2. A couple of days ago I alerted you to a auction that my buddy John Carlton was doing on Ebay. It was interesting because it was a “Dutch” auction and just watching it go down was a interesting marketing lesson. In fact, all of Ebay is a HUGE marketing lesson.
While I’m not really into web2.0 or social networking sites for marketing, I LOVE Ebay for marketing. Here’s why… When people go to Ebay, what are they there to do? DUH. Buy stuff. Now, when people go to Facebook, they are NOT there to buy stuff. In fact, they may get pissed off if they are being pitched while in a social networking environment.
But when they are at Ebay they expect to be sold. And often they are sitting there with a credit card in hand just waiting to buy something. THEY ARE IN THE BUYERS MOOD! I can’t stress how important this is. There may be no better site on the net then Ebay for making cash and getting marketing feedback. Maybe I’ll make a video later this week and show you how I use Ebay for marketing feedback and tips.
3. Finally, TWITTER. I used to HATE this site. I’m still a bit confused by it, but apparently people keep “FOLLOWING” me.

Hey Big Jason, I just found a cool WEB 2.0 aggregator called http://www.friendfeed.com
Now if you go join that and stick all of your content on there all the people following you wont have to go to a bunch of different sites looking for your content.
Makes it easier for the fans (and stalkers).
Plus its a startup by four ex-google guys. Its a killer app.
