Have You Been Borgfjorded Lately?

halli borgfjord, have you been borgfjorded, iTunes, jason moffatt, jasonmoffatt, kyle cease, the giraffe house

I want to share two comedy things with you today.

First of all, my buddy Halli Borgfjord has just released a new comedy CD called “Have you Been Borgfjorded Lately?” on iTunes today and he’d love it if you could help him climb the ranks at iTunes on his debut day today.

You can get it for only $9.99 by clicking here.

I just listened to the first 20 minutes and decided to come here and write a post about it. Halli is a funny guy. He’s also a really nice guy.

I like supporting nice guys, and I’m sure many of you feel the same. So flip the guy a 10 spot for his CD. You can download it directly from iTunes and be laughing in about 2 minutes.

The bit he does about Cougars is so so so true. Seriously. You gotta hear it.

Secondly, I wanted to play a video for you today from my buddy Kyle Cease.

The reason I want to play this video is because I believe a lot of things that hold back internet marketers from being comfortable on video is very similar to the feelings many up and coming comedians experience when taking the stage.

I’ve heard a ton of feedback from people that don’t believe they can do online video or they are not entertaining enough and a million other excuses. The truth is, they are stuck in their heads and worrying about approval from their peers online instead of just believing in what they bring to the table.

And hey I get it. The comments on YouTube can be downright ruthless. There are some really mean spirited people out there that can’t wait to blast their verbal diarrhea all over your hard work. But should that stop you? Or should you use that to fuel you to succeed?

Anyhow, in this video below at The Giraffe House, Kyle Cease goes off about being in the present, using your authentic voice, immersing yourself into your bits and truly owning your material. I’ve learned so much from Kyle over the last couple of weeks and am super thankful to be able to share ideas with such a great comedic genius.

Much of this material is about stand up comedy but I believe it translates right into the mindset needed to create compelling online videos and being comfortable with yourself online.

Enjoy.

  1. Thanks Jason, very cool, totally applicable, not just for video marketing but for life. There’s a ton of cool stuff in there, some repackaged which is great because it re-affirms the first source even more.

  2. my site is under construction please visit it in a month…
Aneee Way… this video brought tears to my eyes because I am truely able to understand my mother’s behavior with me now. I love her dearly but never understood her anger at many individuals including me at times. Now I understand – although it is not success she is jealous of but something deeper and it stems from loosing her mother at the tender young age of 9… It has affected her so deeply that the intervention available now may not make any difference as it is too late… now the only thing I can do is spend time with her and create memories to cherish when her calling comes from God…
Thanks Cousin Moff (AKA Rothersburger) for airing this interview.. I knew what you were trying to present but never expected the words to hit me this way…

  3. Thanks for the share Jason! I have always loved comedy and this guy has some really great insights that get you thinking doesn’t he?

Thanks again and hope all is well.

  5. Great interview Jason! It’s really applicable to everything we do, not just comedy or online marketing. I’ll share this with my people as well 😉

Thanks for sharing, and I really like the direction you’re going with your blog and everything you do now! Keep it up bro!

  6. Hey Jmo,

Thanks for sharing. Kyle is so smart and “gets” so much of what success and life is about. I actually had the opportunity to meet him on a flight from Atlanta and the very next flight sat next to Louie Anderson on my way to Vegas. We both had great conversations. I’ve been meaning to reach out to you to discuss what we talked about. I know you’ll be glad we talked. Let me know if this interests you. My phone is: 801-737-3255.

    Thanks bro,

    Derek
